Iran’s nuclear program not a threat to region: Bahraini king
“It is Iran’s right to use nuclear energy,” Khalifa said in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki.
“Iran’s security is the security of the region which should not be hurt,” the Bahraini king stated.
Mottaki said that the Iraqi government can establish security in the country by its own if the occupiers leave.
The minister added that the report by the Iraq Study Group on Wednesday proved that the U.S. needs to revise its policies in Iraq.
Opening a dialogue with Iran and Syria was one of the key recommendations of the bipartisan panel which was co-chaired by former secretary of state James Baker and former congressman Lee Hamilton.
On recent political crisis in Lebanon, Mottaki said that dialogue between all rival political groups is the best solution to the crisis which has gripped the government of Prime Minister Fouad Siniora.
